South of Davis Dam, the Colorado River exits Lake Mead NRA and flows south past the small Nevada city of Laughlin, site of several large hotel/casinos. On the Arizona side, the land bordering the river is generally more developed, initially with the dispersed suburbs of Bullhead City, and to the south, irrigated farmland, which extends all the way to the I-40 crossing, 25 miles from Laughlin.
