Northeast San Antonio Hotels

The 69 room Best Western Garden Inn has an easily reached location next to I-35, towards the northeast edge of San Antonio and 15 miles from downtown. The pet friendly hotel is on the north side of the interstate between exits 169 & 170, and is surrounded by mainly residential land, though with four restaurants within 0.1 miles. Free continental breakfast, an outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center and laundry are the main amenities. All guest rooms contain a microwave and refrigerator.

Best Western Windsor Pointe hotel offers guests 54 good sized rooms (equipped with refrigerator/microwave), free continental breakfast, an outdoor pool, fitness center, business center and laundry. The four floor building is quite new, located along Rittiman Road in a rather industrial area on the east side of San Antonio though next to I-410/I-35 which provides quick transport to many area attractions including the downtown district (8 miles) and Fort Sam Houston (4 miles). There are many restaurants within walking distance.

Free hot breakfast is one of the above average amenities of the Comfort Suites hotel in east San Antonio, and there are many restaurants nearby to provide other meals. The hotel has 105 oversized rooms, with microwave, refrigerator, free internet access and separate sleeping/living sections; all are clean and well maintained. An outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center and meeting space are some of the other facilities. The Comfort Suites is located along the eastern I-35 frontage road, 5 miles from Fort Sam Houston and 9 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio.

Although quite recently open (2008), the Comfort Inn San Antonio North has quickly established a good reputation, for its clean rooms, friendly staff and above average free continental breakfast. The hotel has a semi-rural setting on the south side of I-35 half way between I-410 and the 1604 Loop - within walking distance of a few fast food restaurants though not close to much else; the nearest mall (Forum at Olympia Parkway) is 3.2 miles further northeast. All 57 rooms feature a microwave, flat screen TV, sofa bed, pillow top mattresses and free internet access, while other hotel amenities include an indoor pool, fitness center, business center and a small meeting room.

Along the northern I-35 frontage road near the Weidner Road exit, the Quality Inn is an affordable, pet friendly, medium-size (74 room), two storey hotel occupying an older building in a small business district, 11 miles from downtown San Antonio and 7 miles from the international airport. Free full breakfast is served each morning; for other meals the nearest restaurants are about a mile away along Randolph Blvd. Also available on site are an outdoor pool, fitness center, meeting space, business center, and a microwave/refrigerator in each room.

Hampton Inn San Antonio Northeast adjoins a residential area on the east side of I-35, though south-facing rooms have views across an open area of undeveloped land and there are several restaurants within walking distance to the south, around the Rittiman Road exit of the interstate. The hotel features 76 nicely decorated rooms & suites, and provides all the usual services, such as an indoor pool/hot tub, fitness center with machines & free weights, a business center and a 40 person meeting room. Free hot breakfast is served each morning. The hotel is about half way (ten miles) between downtown San Antonio and the edge of the suburbs near Selma.
