JOHN DAY FOSSIL BEDS National Monument - outcrops of colorful sedimentary rocks bearing many dinosaur fossils; three separate units, in the remote, grassy hills of east Oregon

OREGON DUNES National Recreation Area - beaches, forests, lagoons, creeks and dunes along the Pacific coast
PORT ORFORD HEADS State Park - wind-swept promontory above rocky coves and sea stacks
SAMUEL H BOARDMAN State Scenic Corridor - 11 miles of tall cliffs, isolated beaches and wave-cut arches, on the southern Pacific coast
SHORE ACRES State Park - fantastic eroded rock formations along the Pacific coast
SOUTH PACIFIC COAST - rocky shores, tiny islands, wave-cut arches, sea stacks and secluded coves, along an especially scenic, 100 mile section of the Oregon coast south of Coos Bay
SOUTHEAST OREGON - the remote southeast of Oregon, at the north edge of the Great Basin Desert; locations include Warner Valley, Hart Mountain, Alvord Lake, Borax Hot Springs, Diamond Craters and Pillars of Rome
SUNSET BAY State Park - secluded inlet surrounded by angled sedimentary rocks, eroded into a great variety of forms
