Las Cruces Hotels

Open 2019, the Courtyard is the fourth Marriott hotel in Las Cruces, and it has an easy-to-reach location at the University Avenue exit of Interstate 10, close to New Mexico State University. The full service hotel adjoins the Las Cruces Convention Center and is within walking distance of several restaurants; the nearest supermarket (WalMart) is one mile away. Highlights include a spacious lobby with media wall, an outdoor pool plus cabanas, a fitness center, extensive function space and a restaurant/bar, open for breakfast, dinner & evening drinks.

The Staybridge Suites is a new hotel at the north edge of Las Cruces just off Main Street (US 82/70), the road to Alamogordo and the White Sands National Monument; half a mile east of I-25 exit 6. Guests are accommodated in an imposing four story building containing 87 suites, quite well separated from adjoining properties and offering expansive views south over the city and east towards the distant Organ Mountains. The main amenities of this extended stay hotel are an outdoor pool/whirlpool, recreation court, putting green, convenience store and free hot breakfast buffet.

Hilton Garden Inn Las Cruces has a slightly exposed setting beside I-25 (exit 1; University Avenue), surrounded by roads on all sides, though within sight of open countryside and overlooking a golf course to the east. The full service hotel is one of the closest to New Mexico State University, on the far side of the interstate, and is also adjacent to the Memorial Medical Center of Las Cruces. It occupies an attractive, whitewashed, Spanish-style building, offering comfortable accommodations and a good range of facilities, including an on-site restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch, dinner & room service, and a 24 hour convenience store; meals bought here can be cooked using the microwaves installed in each guest room. The hotel has meeting space, fitness & business centers and a large outdoor pool.

Highlights of Hampton Inn Las Cruces (open spring 2016) are a 24 hour convenience store in the lobby, free hot breakfast (take-out version available), an indoor pool complete with waterslide, and an easily-reached yet quiet location, close to I-10 (exit 140) but set back a little from the carriageway. In the vicinity are several restaurants and a few other hotels, otherwise the neighborhood is lightly developed. The city center is 2 miles north. Accommodations include a selection of suites with sofa beds; all rooms contain a microwave and refrigerator. Small events can be staged in a 720 sq ft meeting room.

Hampton Inn Las Cruces faces the Lohman Avenue exit of I-25, in the middle of the main shopping area in the city; Mesilla Valley Mall is on the far side of the interstate and there are many other restaurants, stores and entertainment centers nearby, including Wal-Mart adjacent. The hotel has a slightly elevated position and most rooms enjoy long distance views across the city to distant mountains. Complimentary amenities are wi-fi and hot breakfast (take-out version available), while the usual facilities for meetings, business & leisure are provided. Guests have a choice of 73 rooms and suites, all with refrigerator & microwave.

One block from a Marriott sister property (the Fairfield Inn) stands the TownePlace Suites Las Cruces which caters more to the long stay market, offering 81 oversized accommodations, contained within a new, three story building on the northeast side of town, close to the intersection of I-25 and US 70/82. The suites feature a full kitchen, a pull-out sofa bed, separate living/sleeping sections, a large work desk, and extra comfortable bedding. Free breakfast is served, and the main street (Telshaw Court) has a small selection of restaurants. For leisure, guests have use of the usual pool, hot tub and fitness center.

Marriott's SpringHill Suites in Las Cruces is one of the older hotels for this brand though a recent renovation has maintained its high standards of cleanliness and comfort. There are 101 rooms in the 3 floor building, equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, sink, coffee/tea maker, and 37 inch TV receiving an enhanced selection of cable channels. Free hot breakfast, a fitness center, hot tub and outdoor pool complete the list of amenities. The hotel has a fairly quiet location beside I-10 (exit 140; Avienda de Mesilla), 1.4 miles from the center of Las Cruces.

The Holiday Inn Express is a 2011 addition to the group of hotels at the I-25/US 70 intersection, on the north side of Las Cruces 2 miles from the city center, and close to various restaurants & large stores. The four floor building is set a little way back from the highway, with views to the east over mostly undeveloped land, across which runs a walking/cycling trail. All the reliable, good quality Holiday Express amenities are provided, including free hot breakfast, indoor pool & hot tub, fitness center, business center and meeting space, for up to 50 attendees. All rooms contain a microwave and refrigerator, and are equipped with extra comfortable bedding.

One of the newest hotels in Las Cruces is the Holiday Inn Express along Valley Drive - adjacent to exit 142 of I-10 (east side), close to the suburbs of Mesilla and Tortugas, and 2 miles south of the city center. The non-smoking and no pets property opened summer 2008, and provides 87 large, modern rooms & suites on 4 floors; other amenities are a 24 hour fitness center, indoor pool, whirlpool and 24 hour business center. Complimentary hot breakfast buffet is provided. The hotel is just about the closest to New Mexico State University Las Cruces - the campus starts half a mile east.

The Best Western hotel in Las Cruces has its 69 clean, Southwestern-style rooms divided into several 2 floor, exterior corridor units arranged around the parking lot and an outdoor pool surrounded by a nice garden area - all set back a way from the main road for a quieter night's sleep. The hotel is located along Main Street a mile or so from downtown Las Cruces, and reached from I-10 by driving 6 blocks north from exit 142. New Mexico State University is 1.5 miles southeast. The Best Western Mission Inn has a restaurant, lounge and night club all on the premises, offers free full breakfast and free access to a local health club.

The Fairfield Inn is one of the few hotels on the north side of Las Cruces, NM, and has an easily reached location along the I-25 frontage road, a little way southeast of exit 6 (Main Street; US 70/82). Accommodation comprises 81 rooms, equipped with a new HDTV, microwave, ironing facilities and a coffee maker. For relaxation there is an outdoor pool at the rear (facing the interstate), but no hot tub or fitness center. Free hot breakfast is provided.

Ramada Las Cruces is one of the more distinctive properties in town; a large, Spanish-style building centered on a beautiful enclosed courtyard furnished with tropical plants, and lined by dozens of mature palm trees. The property is surrounded by ample parking space and has a prominent location at the University Avenue exit of I-10, a couple of miles south of the city center. Free continental breakfast is served, while other meals (and room service) are available from the on-site restaurant/bar. All accommodations have a microwave & refrigerator, and many have views of the indoor pool, in the courtyard. Some have a private balcony. There are several shops within the hotel, including a car rental desk.

Rooms at Days Inn Las Cruces are divided into two exterior corridor blocks, with an outdoor pool in between and extensive parking space all around. The pet friendly motel sits along Avenida de Mesilia, beside I-10 exit 140, near the usual collection of gas stations and restaurants, plus a Wal-Mart store just down the street. All guest accommodations contain a microwave and refrigerator. The free breakfast comes with a selection of hot items. Also available are a fitness center, business center, laundry and free wi-fi.

The interior corridor Super 8 Las Cruces enjoys a quiet location 500 feet from the access road (Valley Drive; Hwy 188) at the edge of a residential area - towards the south side of the city close to Interstate 10. This is a low price, limited facility establishment, offering just free continental breakfast (with eight items), free wi-fi and guest-use computer. At least six restaurants are within a few minute's walk. Pets are welcome.

The Super 8 is a northwest Las Cruces hotel, the first to welcome travelers arriving along US 70 from Alamogordo, and it has a somewhat isolated location mostly surrounded by undeveloped land. Northeast-facing rooms have fine views across the desert towards the Organ Mountains, which contain a popular recreation area (Aguirre Spring), 20 miles from the hotel. Facilities include an outdoor pool, free continental breakfast and free wi-fi. Rooms with microwave/refrigerator are available. There is one restaurant adjacent, and a Walmart store just down the road.
