Alamogordo's Holiday Inn Express is a beautiful, relatively new hotel towards the south of town, along a quiet side road just east of highways US 70 and US 54. The inn offers 80 rooms & suites on three floors, and all the expected facilities including an indoor pool/whirlpool, fitness center, business center, meeting room, guest laundry & free hot breakfast buffet, and it earns a reputation as the best hotel in town on account of the quiet location, friendly staff, reasonable rates and excellent standard of cleanliness. The nearest restaurants, bars and shops are a short distance north along White Sands Boulevard.

Fairfield Inn Alamogordo is built along a quiet side street 0.2 miles from the main road (US 54) on the south edge of town, within walking distance of the usual selection of fast food restaurants and gas stations. The hotel, the first in the area from the Marriott chain, caters for guests in 73 clean, modern rooms, nicely decorated with bright colors and stylish furnishings. Free breakfast is served each morning; also available are free internet access, a pool, fitness center, and facilities for business & meetings.

Like most hotels in Alamogordo, NM, the Quality Inn is located along White Sands Boulevard, the main road into the center of town - near the south edge of the suburbs close to highways US 70 & US 54. This hotel sits on the west side of the road half a mile from the highway junction, in a desert setting with undeveloped land to the rear and mountain views to the east. Downtown Alamogordo is 2 miles north of the hotel, and the White Sands regional airport is 3 miles south. The Comfort Inn has an outdoor pool, hot tub, exercise room and picnic area. Free breakfast is provided, including hot waffles.

Days Inn Alamogordo occupies a small, exterior corridor building towards the south edge of town, part of a lengthy line of shops, restaurants and other hotels along the main road, US 54/70. All guest rooms face south, looking across the parking lot (which has an outdoor pool on the far side) to an adjacent building, and beyond to the distant mountains. Other amenities are the usual free wi-fi and free continental breakfast.

The northernmost hotel in Alamogordo is the 57 room Super 8, adjoining US 54/70 at the edge of a shopping area with such stores as JC Penney, K-Mart and Home Depot, plus a selection of restaurants. All rooms contain a refrigerator & microwave, and most have good views of the Sacramento Mountains to the east. The low rates and convenient location are the main reasons to stay, as facilities are quite limited; just free wi-fi, free continental breakfast and a small business center.
