Ruidoso Hotels

The Elevate hotel lies half way between Ruidoso and Ruidoso Downs, along US 70, half a mile south of the junction with NM 48, in the Hollywood district. Highway 70 runs through a wooded valley, and all rooms have views over the neighboring hills of the Lincoln National Forest. There are many restaurants nearby, with shops and other facilities located a short distance north; downtown Ruidoso is 3 miles to the northwest. The hotel has an indoor pool, exercise room, fitness center, picnic area and dining are for the free breakfast. All rooms contain a microwave and refrigerator.

The Best Western hotel in Ruidoso has an elevated position on the west side of Cherokee Bill Canyon, above highway US 70 and looking out over a large expanse of forested hills. The immediate surroundings are also wooded and the hotel is quite well separated from neighboring buildings yet is just a short drive away from the amenities of Ruidoso, and half a mile from various shops and restaurants around the US 70 - NM 48 road junction. The 57 oversized, refrigerator/microwave-equipped rooms are complimented by an indoor pool, hot tub, exercise facility, business center and free continental breakfast.

As the name suggests, Comfort Inn Ruidoso has a central position in town, along the main road (NM 48, here known as Sudderth Road), within a block of many restaurants, art galleries and shops including those at the Gazebo Shopping Center. Rates are reasonable, the rooms and public areas are nicely decorated, the staff are friendly, and the inn has a good range of amenities - free deluxe continental breakfast, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, business center, free internet access and a microwave/refrigerator in all rooms.

Quality Inn Ruidoso is a relatively large and modern property, with 3 floors and interior corridors, though it still charges low rates, and has all the basic amenities - free coffee, guest laundry, cable TV and an indoor pool. Rooms are clean, and fairly quiet since the property is set back a little from the main road (US 70); they have views of the wooded hills that rise up both sides of the highway. There are many restaurants half a mile north, along Sudderth Drive (Hwy 48).

The Travelodge is the closest motel to the busy US 70/Hwy 48 intersection towards the east side of Ruidoso, near many shops and restaurants. The place is quite small, with 58 rooms, all on the ground floor, some looking out over the central parking area and outdoor pool/hot tub, others facing east with views of a wooded slope. Free enhanced continental breakfast is served, including sausages; wi-fi is also complimentary. The parking lot is shared with a steakhouse restaurant (K-Bob's).
