The Holiday Inn is an early 2013 addition to what has become the premier lodging area in Roswell - on the north side of the city along Main Street (US 70), close to a large shopping complex and a good selection of dining outlets. This location is 3.5 miles north of the US 380 intersection. The hotel has its own restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch, dinner & room service, plus a bar providing drinks & snacks in the evenings. The meetings facilities can accommodate events of up to 220 people. The pool and hot tub are indoors, near the fitness center.

Hilton's sole representative in Roswell is the Hampton Inn & Suites, almost the northernmost hotel in the area, located on the east side of Main Street within sight of undeveloped lands though just half a mile from a major shopping area, home to such stores Wal-Mart, JC Penney, Bealls, and plenty of restaurants. The 70 guest accommodations include studio suites with sofa bed and living area. Free breakfast is provided, plus a take-out version (Mon-Fri) for guests leaving early. All the usual business, meetings and leisure facilities are available.

The second Marriott hotel to open in Roswell (summer 2013) is the three story TownePlace Suites, catering for extended stay guests in 71 studio, one bed or two bed suites, all comfortable, spacious, brightly decorated, and featuring a fully equipped kitchen. Wi-fi and daily hot breakfast are complimentary; other facilities include an outdoor pool, bbq area, guest laundry, business center and a 24 person meeting room. The hotel sits just off US 70/285 along a quiet side street, opposite Lovelace Regional Hospital and one mile north of downtown.

A new Holiday Inn Express hotel opened in Roswell summer 2017, replacing an existing property of this brand right next door. The replacement hotel has four floors and 80 rooms, and sits right opposite another IHG property, the extended stay Candlewood Suites. Facilities are standard for the brand: an indoor pool, whirlpool, fitness center, meeting room and a dining area for the free hot breakfast buffet. Guest rooms have views of the Military Institute Golf Course to the west; also in the vicinity are a Home Depot superstore and many restaurants.

The Candlewood Suites provides affordable, all suite lodging in Roswell - the 87 rooms all include a full kitchen complete with microwave, refrigerator, stove and sink, plus an executive desk and free internet access for those here to work, and a DVD player for entertainment. The hotel has a quiet location just off Main Street (US 70/285), close to the New Mexico Military Institute golf course and just across the street from another IHG property, the Holiday Inn Express. Other facilities at the Candlewood Suites include a fitness center, convenience store, lending library, laundry and business center.

Best Western El Rancho Palacio has a north central location in Roswell along Main Street, on the east side of the highway opposite the New Mexico Military Institute Golf Course, and 2 miles from Roswell's famous UFO Museum. There are many restaurants close by. The main hotel amenities are a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, free full breakfast, and a microwave/refrigerator in all the 46 rooms. The hotel occupies a fairly old building, providing comfortable accommodation towards the affordable end of the market.

The most central hotel in Roswell, NM, and regarded by some as the best place to stay, is the 67 room Fairfield Inn & Suites, located along Main Street 12 blocks north of the US 380 - US 285 intersection in the middle of the downtown area. Like most hotels of this brand, the buildings are clean and new-looking, with the familiar 3 floor, single block design accompanied by an outdoor pool & hot tub at the rear. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, though breakfast is available without charge in the hotel, including a hot sandwich and homemade waffles.

The Days Inn has quite a central location in Roswell, along Main Street one mile north of the US 380 intersection, location of the famous International UFO Museum. Also close by, within walking distance, are Roswell Convention Center, New Mexico Military Institute, Roswell Museum & Art Center and Roswell Livestock Auction. Guest rooms are accessed by exterior corridors, around three sides of the central parking lot, and all contain a refrigerator & microwave. Pets are welcome, for a small fee. Amenities are an outdoor pool, a business center, free wi-fi and free continental breakfast.

Budget-priced Super 8 Roswell overlooks a residential district to the east and empty lands to the west, on the far side of US 70/285; the motel has a northerly location in town, half a mile from a group of restaurants and large stores including Wal-Mart. The motel has two floors, 63 rooms and an indoor pool/hot tub, and offers just the basic amenities, of free wi-fi and free continental breakfast.
