Portales Hotels

The Holiday Inn Express is one of the newer hotels in Portales, a medium-sized town in the middle of the vast grasslands of eastern New Mexico. The hotel is located on the south side of US 70, the main highway through Portales, at 1901 W 2nd St, and is one mile from the downtown area. Rooms to the rear have views over farmland while those on the north side overlook the highway; all have a microwave and refrigerator. Free breakfast is offered to all guests, and the nearest restaurants are 1 mile northeast along 2nd St.

Like most hotels in Portales, the Super 8 sits along the southwest approach to town (US 70) in a lightly developed neighborhood but adjacent to the campus of the Eastern New Mexico University. The pet friendly, interior corridor inn provides free continental breakfast and is just over half a mile from a good selection of restaurants, in the downtown area. All rooms contain a microwave and refrigerator. Rates are low, reflecting the limited amenities.
