Marana is the closest town both to Ironwood Forest National Monument, the Silverbell entrance to which is 9 miles west, and also Saguaro National Park - the boundary is just 10 miles south along Sandario Road. To the east, a similarly short drive reaches more fine Sonoran Desert scenery at Catalina State Park.
