San Carlos Hotels

Residence Inn San Carlos opened spring 2018, beside US 101 at the Holly Street exit, opposite another Marriott property, the Fairfield Inn. Locations within one mile include Palo Alto Medical Center, Hiller Aviation Museum and San Carlos Airport. The hotel is large, containing 204 suites, in studio, one bedroom and two bedroom layouts, all with a full kitchen and separate living area. Complimentary amenities are wi-fi, hot breakfast, weekday evening socials and a grocery delivery service. The nearest restaurants are along El Camino Real through the city center, about half a mile west.

The neighborhood around Country Inn & Suites San Carlos is mostly residential - along El Camino Real (Hwy 82) between San Mateo and Redwood City - but there are plenty of restaurants close by, and shopping malls a few miles north around the US 101/Hwy 92 intersection. Rooms are large and stylishly decorated, equipped with microwave, tea/coffee maker & refrigerator, while for guests needing more facilities there are several types of suite available. The hotel has no pool but does provide all the other standard amenities, including free hot breakfast, a fitness center, business center and guest laundry.

Alongside Highway 101 next to San Carlos Airport, the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott along Skyway Road has 112 medium-sized rooms, generally clean and comfortable, with amenities of free hot breakfast, an exercise room and a heated outdoor pool. The hotel is half way (22 miles) between downtown San Francisco and the center of Silicon Valley around San Jose and Sunnyvale. For dining there are several adjacent restaurants and others 3 blocks west along El Camino Real.
