The Crowne Plaza hotel at San Francisco International Airport occupies a towering, ten floor building with a good location in Burlingame (San Mateo County), next to the Broadway exit of Highway 101 and overlooking San Francisco Bay. The airport is just over 3 miles away and is of course served by free shuttlebus; downtown San Francisco lies 10 miles further north. The 4-star hotel offers some of the best facilities outside the city center, with 309 luxurious rooms & suites, a restaurant & bar, 24 hour fitness center, indoor pool, hot tub, sports court, several shops, a staffed business center and 22 meeting rooms (13,886 sq ft of space). Also nearby are Coyote Point Recreation Area, Poplar Creek Golf Course and the Robert Woolley Peninsula Park.

Most of the 686 rooms & suites at the Marriott hotel in Burlingame have spectacular views across San Francisco Bay and of SFO international airport just to the north, though despite the proximity to the main runway (0.7 miles), accommodation is quiet, as well as being beautifully decorated and equipped with such amenities as executive desk, sofa bed, HDTVs and extra comfortable bedding. Walking trails along the shoreline pass right by the hotel, and on-site leisure facilities are also good, including an indoor pool, hot tub and 24 hour fitness center. The Marriott has three restaurants (steakhouse, lobby lounge/bar, Starbuck's), and 27 meeting rooms.

Four miles southeast of San Francisco Airport, the 400 room Hilton hotel enjoys a scenic setting on a promontory at the edge of San Francisco Bay, separated from open water only by a small lagoon and park. Most facilities in Burlingame, including dozens of restaurants and two stations on the Caltrain line, are between one and two miles away, but all necessary services are available at the hotel, headed by the two food & beverage outlets, Windows on the Bay restaurant and the Lobby Lounge bar. The former serves California-style cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Room service is provided 24 hours a day. A complimentary shuttle runs to and from the airport. The hotel has 11,000 sq ft of function space, enough for events of up to 750 people.

The Doubletree is one of four Hilton hotels on the north side of Burlingame overlooking San Francisco Bay; a quiet, scenic location, separated from the nearby highway US 101 by an estuarine channel. The full service property adjoins Burlingame Soccer Complex and Golf Center, while onsite leisure facilities are limited to a fitness center. A free shuttle is provided to the nearest BART station (Millbrae, 2.8 miles), as well as the international airport. All day dining, room service and evening drinks are available at 37 North restaurant/lounge. Accommodations include oversized regular rooms and studio or one bedroom suites, the latter featuring one or more of a sofa bed, wet bar and whirlpool bath.

Meals, evening drinks and evening room service are available at the onsite restaurant in Courtyard San Francisco Airport, while snacks and light meals can be purchased from a 24 hour convenience center, the latter cookable using the microwaves installed in each guest room. The hotel overlooks a side channel of San Francisco Bay, a little way north of US 101; 4 miles from the international airport and 3 miles from the center of Burlingame. Guests here to work have use of a business center and four meeting rooms, while the hotel also has a fitness center.

North-facing rooms at Embassy Suites San Francisco Airport have spectacular views across San Francisco Bay, the edge of which is just 100 feet away. All accommodations are luxurious, two room suites, with a separate living area, work desk, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and wet bar. Like the majority of Embassy Suites hotels, the building is centered on a spacious atrium lobby, containing koi ponds, tropical plants, comfortable seating and a dining area, location for the free hot breakfast each morning and the free receptions in the evenings. A complimentary shuttle serves the international airport and the Millbrae BART station. Other amenities include a restaurant, bar, indoor pool/whirlpool and 5,185 square feet of function space.

The Hampton Inn is one of the closest San Francisco airport hotels, 2.2 miles southeast along US 101, and it has a quiet setting along a side street, just 400 feet from a waterfront park at the edge of San Francisco Bay. The neighborhood is mostly a business district but there are a few other hotels nearby, and a small number of restaurants. Complimentary amenities at the Hampton Inn are wi-fi, hot breakfast and airport transportation. There are 77 good sized guest rooms available, including studio suites containing a sofa bed. The hotel also has a fitness center, business center and meeting space.

One of several hotels along the Bayshore Highway in Burlingame, right on the shore of San Francisco Bay, the 146 room Holiday Inn Express San Francisco-Airport South is well connected to all points on the peninsula by Highway 101 which runs by just to the west - access is from the Broadway exit. The terminal buildings of San Francisco International Airport are 3 miles north, reached by the hotel's complimentary shuttle; for other transport the closest Caltrain station is half a mile away, and the nearest BART stops are 1.5 miles north (Millbrae), or at the airport. The hotel provides a good range of facilities, and is well suitable for guests spending several days in San Francisco or just staying one night whilst using the airport. Services include free hot breakfast, an outdoor pool, fitness center, business center and free parking.
