In a hilly, residential district 1.5 miles south of Santa Fe town center, the all-suite Residence Inn by Marriott appeals to extended stay guests or those traveling in large groups, though is also well suited to short visits. The hotel has a quiet location surrounded by trees and lawns, next to the St Vincent Regional Medical Center and close to the junction of St Francis Drive with Highway 466. Its rooms all have a spacious living area with fireplace, an extra sofa bed, large work desk, separate sleeping area, and a full kitchen - purchase of food for which can be arranged by the hotel. Locations within two blocks of El Sendero Inn include Santa Fe Plaza, Loretto Chapel, New Mexico State Capitol and the Cathedral Basilica of St Francis of Assisi - the hotel has a fine, central location along Old Santa Fe Trail, also close to many bars and restaurants. The adobe-style accommodations are on two storeys, accessed by exterior corridors, all facing the central parking lot, and lined on the outside by a belt of trees. The main facilities are an outdoor pool, free wi-fi, meeting space and an onsite restaurant.
