Open spring 2021, the Hampton Inn & Suites has a rural location at the southwest edge of Watsonville at the junction of highways 1 and 129, bordering open farmland to the rear. Sunset State Beach is 5 miles away, while the main shopping area in town is 2.5 miles north, along Main Street. The hotel provides good quality free hot breakfast each morning, including hot items; wi-fi is also complimentary. A fitness center and indoor pool are the two recreational amenities.

Generally regarded as the best mid range hotel in Watsonville, the Holiday Inn Express offers 65 clean, spacious rooms & suites, an indoor swimming pool, health/fitness center, whirlpool, guest laundry and free hot breakfast. The hotel is located west of the town center along Main Street (CA 152), where most of the large stores are found; scenic Highway 1 is half a mile away, and links with the main attractions of the Monterey Bay/Pajaro Valley area, from Santa Cruz and the redwood forests in the north (15 miles) to Carmel and the start of Big Sur in the south (30 miles).

A few blocks north of the center of Watsonville, the AAA three diamond-rated Best Western Rose Garden Inn along Freedom Boulevard is a small hotel of 45 rooms, divided into several blocks overlooking the courtyard, outdoor heated pool & spa. The neighborhood is largely residential, though Main Street (CA 152) runs just south, through a corridor of shops and restaurants; Highway 1 is 1.5 miles away. Guests may choose from a variety of accommodations, including rooms with a kitchenette, fireplace or spa; all contain a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and ironing facilities.
