Selma Hotels

Selma is exactly half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco, so a good place to break the journey. The largest hotel in town is the 115 room Holiday Inn, right beside highway 99 at the Highland Ave exit (west side) - next to a residential district, close to several large stores and right by the flat farmland that marks the west edge of town. Despite the nearby highway, rooms are quiet and the hotel has a pleasant setting based around landscaped gardens, an outdoor pool and a large pond with fountains. Other facilities are a well equipped fitness center, newsstand/gift shop, florist, and the adjacent Spike N Rail restaurant.

The 90 room Hampton Inn Selma has a peaceful location along a country road to the west of Hwy 99, mostly surrounded by farmland, though just across the street from a small shopping complex that includes Walmart and a few restaurants. The hotel opened late 2023, offering an outdoor pool, a fitness center, free hot breakfast, meeting space and a business center. Downtown Selma is 1.5 miles away on the far side of the freeway, while Fresno is 14 miles northwest. Accommodations are equipped with a microwave and a refrigerator.

For a small town, Selma has a fair selection of hotels, most of them located close to the main road through the center (Whitson Street), which parallels highway 99 one block east. Best Western Colonial Inn is a handsome, timbered, three story building beside the Floral Avenue exit of CA 99, separated from the highway by a small area of gardens & trees, and with an outdoor pool at one side. The inn offers free continental breakfast and is close to many restaurants along Floral & Whitson streets. The main supermarkets in Selma are a short distance away on the far side of the highway. Other amenities are a fitness center, guest laundry, free wi-fi and a business center.

Guests at the pet friendly Super 8 Selma are within walking distance of several large stores including Home Depot, JC Penney, Wal-Mart and a supermarket, plus over a dozen restaurants and a sports park. The motel has 40 rooms, all equipped with a refrigerator & free wi-fi, and well shielded by bushes and trees from the busy surroundings. Free continental breakfast is prepared each morning. Also available are an outdoor pool and a business center.
