and neighboring Snowflake are two small towns in the shallow valley of Sliver Creek in east central Arizona, reached by Hwy 77 between Holbrook
and Show Low
. Taylor borders the Sitgreaves National Forest
to the south, while the high plains of the Colorado Plateau
stretch for many miles northwards, one nearby attraction being Petrified Forest National Park
, a 45 minute drive away. There are very few facilities in town, just a few restaurants and shops, but to the north, half way to Snowflake, is a shopping center with Basha's supermarket and two motels.
