Taylor and neighboring Snowflake are two small towns in the shallow valley of Sliver Creek in east central Arizona, reached by Hwy 77 between
Holbrook and
Show Low. Taylor borders the
Sitgreaves National Forest to the south, while the high plains of the
Colorado Plateau stretch for many miles northwards, one nearby attraction being
Petrified Forest National Park, a 45 minute drive away. There are very few facilities in town, just a few restaurants and shops, but to the north, half way to Snowflake, is a shopping center with Basha's supermarket and two motels.
