Cedar City Hotels

The new Holiday Inn Express hotel is situated right at the south edge of Cedar City beside exit 57 of interstate 15, on Main Street, 2 miles from the downtown area. Right behind the hotel to the west rise the steep, forested slopes of the Hurricane Cliffs/Cedar Mountains, and the Kolob Terrace area of Zion National Park is 17 miles to the south. The 80 room Holiday Inn has a breakfast bar, fitness center, indoor pool/whirlpool and business center.

The most central hotel in Cedar City is the 71 room Best Western El Rey Inn & Suites, half a block south of the junction of Main St (highway 130) and Center St (highway 14), so close to all important sites in Cedar City, including the Southern Utah University less than half a mile to the west. It is also one of the closest hotels to Cedar Breaks National Monument (20 miles east along UT 14). For dining, the Best Western has the on-site Cedar Creek Restaurant, and other facilities include an outdoor heated pool, sauna, games room, exercise room and free continental breakfast.

The second Best Western Cedar City hotel is the Town & Country Inn at 189 N Main St, just north of the town center, and right in the middle of the downtown area with all of its shops, restaurants, parks and museums. With 156 rooms on 2 floors, this is the largest hotel in Cedar City, and has both indoor & outdoor pools, car rental desk, microwaves & refrigerators in all rooms, meeting space and games room.

Just north of the Holiday Inn Express, by I-15 exit 57, the SpringHill Suites hotel in Cedar City, UT, is a modern, new, all-suite property whose 72 rooms enjoy sweeping desert and mountain views, as well as being well equipped with such amenities as a microwave, refrigerator, dual phone lines and cable TV. The immediate surroundings are quite empty; the closest shops and restaurants are a mile to the north, along Main Street (Highway 130). Guests can take advantage of an indoor pool, whirlpool, fitness room, free continental breakfast and a convenience store. Of the many national and state parks nearby, the nearest is Cedar Breaks, 22 miles east.

Open late 2007, the newly built Comfort Inn & Suites Cedar City (1288 S Main St) provides good quality, mid range accommodation for visitors to town, or those traveling along interstate 15, which runs past just to the west. The elegant, modern rooms are equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, ironing facilities and flat screen TV; many have nice views eastwards towards the colorful Hurricane Cliffs, at the edge of the Colorado Plateau. The Quality Inn Cedar City hotel has a west central location next to exit 59 of I-15 (east side), one mile from the town center, 1.5 miles from Cedar City Municipal Airport and a few blocks from Southern Utah University. The Quality Inn is at 250 N 1100 W, just north of W 200 St N (highway 56), and offers a large indoor pool, microwaves & refrigerators in some rooms, and free continental breakfast. There are a variety of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
