Fort Stockton Hotels

Fall 2009 saw the opening of a brand new Holiday Inn Express hotel in Fort Stockton - a three floor, 72 room/suite property built along Dickinson Blvd on the west side of town, half a mile from I-10. The surroundings are lightly developed though several restaurants are within walking distance. Amenities include free hot buffet breakfast, an outdoor pool, business center, meeting space and guest laundry. Rooms feature extra comfortable bedding, stylish decor, and kitchenette facilities.

The newly built (summer 2010) Candlewood Suites is the most modern provider of extended stay accommodation in Fort Stockton, with 74 one or two bed suites featuring a full kitchen and separate areas for living, dining & sleeping. A fitness center, outdoor pool, bbq grills, business center, grocery shopping service and a 24 hour convenience store are the main amenities. The hotel sits next to I-10 exit 257 (US 285) on the west edge of town within walking distance of a few restaurants, and on the opposite side of the interstate from the local airport and golf course.

The handsome Comfort Suites hotel in Fort Stockton offers superior accommodations, with 64 oversized rooms all containing flat screen TVs, a microwave, refrigerator, work desk and sofa bed. Free full breakfast is prepared each morning and there are several fast food restaurants adjacent - on the main route into town from the west (Dickinson Blvd), a few blocks from I-10 exit 256. The hotel has a business center, free internet access and a meeting room, for those here to work, plus a indoor pool/hot tub and a fitness center.

One of two newly built Choice Hotels properties to open in Fort Stockton in 2008, the Sleep Inn is also the first hotel to greet travelers arriving along I-10 from the west, located on mostly undeveloped land along Dickinson Blvd, near exit 256. There is a gas station next door and a few restaurants nearby though most facilities are in the town center, a mile or so east. The hotel focuses on giving guests a good night's sleep at affordable rates, and has 49 comfortable rooms, some with one or more of a sofa bed, microwave and hot tub bath. Continental breakfast and internet access are both free. Leisure amenities are the usual pool, whirlpool and exercise room.

The Quality Inn hotel in Fort Stockton (formerly the Holiday Inn Express) lies close to the west edge of town and the start of the desert - along US 285 just east of I-10 exit 257. The town center is 2 miles further east, while just the other side of the interstate is the Fort Stockton-Pecos Country Airport. The 41 room, 2 floor hotel has an outdoor pool/hot tub, fitness center and breakfast bar; for other dining there are plenty of restaurants to the west, along Dickinson Blvd.

Clean, low price rooms and friendly management are the main reasons to stay at the Motel 6 in Fort Stockton, an exterior corridor property along Dickinson Blvd at the west side of town, close to I-10 exit 256. Some of the rooms look inwards over a sheltered courtyard garden and outdoor pool; others have views of the generally rural surroundings. Amenities at the pet friendly motel include cable TV, free coffee, guest laundry and wi-fi.
