Summer 2009 saw the opening of a new Holiday Inn Express hotel in Pecos, offering 71, comfortable, modern, microwave/refrigerator-equipped rooms & suites, all allowing a quiet night's sleep since the property has a rural location along S Cedar Street (US 285) - a mile south of the town center and half a mile from exit 42 of interstate 20. There is a small Wal-Mart store opposite though not much else nearby - the closest restaurants are several blocks away. The hotel provides free hot breakfast and free internet access, plus amenities of an outdoor pool, hot tub, convenience store, laundry and business center.

Like the identically named property in nearby Fort Stockton, the Best Western Swiss Clock Inn is a themed hotel partly built in the style of a Swiss Alpine lodge, one of only a few hotels in Pecos - a small town in far west Texas. The Clock Inn is adjacent to exit 40 of I-20 (Country Club Dr), in a mostly rural neighborhood, close to Reeves County Golf Course and Pecos Municipal Airport. The hotel's 103 rooms are all on the ground floor, arranged in 3 blocks around an outdoor pool & gardens. Free continental breakfast is offered, and the on-site Alpine Lodge restaurant & lounge serves lunch and dinner.

A second Swiss-themed Best Western hotel opened in Pecos in 2009, offering slightly larger and more modern rooms than its neighbor but still with the same good range of services and friendly management. The two hotels are right next to each other along the southern I-20 frontage road near to exit 40 - on the south side of town by the edge of Reeves Country Golf Course. The Best Western Swiss Chalet Hotel has 3 floors and 60 rooms in a variety of configurations, all equipped with microwave, refrigerator and LCD TV. Leisure facilities are the expected pool (indoor), hot tub and 24 hour fitness room. Free full breakfast is served.

At 4002 S Cedar St (US 285), the Quality Inn is situated a mile southeast of Pecos town center, surrounded by fields just north of I-20 exit 42. There are a few restaurants nearby and many more in the downtown area, between 1 and 3 miles to the west. The 2 floor hotel has 96 rooms (some equipped with refrigerator/microwave), arranged around a nice central garden with outdoor pool and sundeck. Also available are a fitness center, meeting/event space, copy/fax service and guest laundry. Free hot breakfast is served.

Rooms at Motel 6 Pecos are small and facilities are limited, but the place is generally clean and rates are low. The two storey, exterior corridor, pet friendly motel overlooks undeveloped countryside next to exit 42 (US 285) of I-20 - on the south edge of Pecos close to a few restaurants and a small Wal-Mart, though a mile or so from most facilities in town. Amenities comprise an outdoor pool, guest laundry, cable TV and free coffee.
