The recently renovated Holiday Inn Express hotel in Canyon is at the corner of Hospital Drive and 4th Ave, towards the east edge of town, on the road which 12 miles further east enters Palo Duro Canyon State Park. The 66 room/suite hotel is within a mile of Palo Duro Creek Golf Club, Panhandle Plains Historical Museum and West Texas A&M University. Free breakfast is offered, though most restaurants are over a mile away towards the town center.

Canyon's new Best Western Hotel is a mile east of the town center along 4th Ave (TX 217 - just east of 28th St), and is named after Palo Duro Canyon, one of the main natural attractions of the Texas Panhandle. The hotel is a handsome, white painted building with a rural/residential setting, on the north side of the highway; main amenities are an indoor pool/hot tub, exercise facility and free breakfast.
