Vega is a small town 34 miles west of Amarillo in far north Texas, and has only a few hotels. One at the western edge of town is Best Western Country Inn, on the north side of Vega Blvd (formerly Route 66), east of exit 35 of I-40 and a mile from the downtown area. The hotel has an isolated location surrounded on all sides by farmland but is within a few blocks of several shops and restaurants. The 41 rooms are all on the ground floor and have a coffee maker, ironing facilities and free bottled water. All overlook the hotel's central courtyard, gardens and outdoor pool.
