The inn has 199 rooms, divided into several separate blocks separated by tree-lined courtyards, embellished by pools, fountains, flowers and tropical plants; it is built on a hillside so many rooms have views over the bay and the mountains to the east. The main amenities are an outdoor pool, exercise room, lounge, restaurant, and complimentary airport shuttle. Like most other hotels in this area, a daily parking fee is charged.

The international airport is 3.5 miles away, reached by free shuttle. Many of the hotel's 125 rooms (on 3 floors) face away from the road, looking out over a large tropical courtyard garden, with a pool, hot tub, fountains and plenty of places for sunbathing. Courtyard San Diego Old Town The Marriott hotel in Old Town San Diego is centrally located along Jefferson St, four blocks or less from all the major shops and restaurants. The hotel is quite a grand, 4 floor, Spanish-style building of 176 rooms & suites, all clean, large and comfortable. Those on the east side are quieter since rooms on the west overlook interstate 5, which runs right past the hotel and reaches downtown San Diego 3 miles south; for those not driving the nearest trolley stop is 0.4 miles away. The on site Gila House Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch & dinner, while for leisure the Courtyard offers a fitness room, outdoor heated pool and a hot tub.

Comfort Inn San Diego Airport at Old Town Rooms at the Comfort Inn Airport at Old Town have views either over the hilly, wooded, residential streets of San Diego's Old Town to the north, or of busy interstate 5 that runs right past the south edge of the hotel. The airport is just the other side of the interstate, with the terminal buildings a 3 mile drive away, served by the hotel's complimentary shuttle. The location is convenient, the staff helpful, and the hotel has a pretty exterior lined with palms and other tropical plants. Inside, the 121 rooms are clean and modern, all containing a microwave, refrigerator and large LCD TV. The free continental breakfast is better than average, and for other dining there are many restaurants within walking distance. For transport to downtown San Diego, the nearest trolley stop is 0.3 miles south on Washington St.
