Orem Hotels

Courtyard Orem (open early 2024) is part of the University Place campus - on the north side of the mall, a few blocks from University Parkway. There are many restaurants in the vicinity, and two outlets onsite, a Starbucks and the American-style Bistro restaurant/bar, open for breakfast, dinner & evening drinks. The building has five stories, and many of the 140 guest rooms enjoy uninterrupted views of the Wasatch Mountains. Also available are an indoor pool, a fitness center and meeting/event space.

Hampton Inn Orem adjoins I-15 at the University Parkway exit, next to a shopping center that includes Walmart and a selection of restaurants. Also within walking distance is Utah Valley University, just across the main road. The hotel is quite large, with four floors and 129 rooms & suites, the latter with one of more of a fireplace, full kitchen and sofa bed. Hot breakfast is complimentary, as is wi-fi. Also available are the expected facilities for leisure (indoor pool, fitness center, hot tub) and business (business center and meeting space, for up to 150 people).

The TownePlace Suites by Marriott brings good quality, reasonably priced all-suite accommodation to the Provo/Orem area, offering 100 studio, one bed or two bed rooms, all equipped with a full kitchen, HDTV, executive desk and luxurious bedding. East-facing rooms have a fine view of the mountains which rise up 4 miles east - the hotel is built next to interstate 15 (exit 272; W 800 N), 2 miles north of Orem and 7 miles from Provo. Free hot breakfast is served; for other meals there are a few restaurants nearby though a much better selection can be found a couple of miles away, along Orem Boulevard in the city center. Leisure facilities are the usual pool, hot tub and fitness center.

New for fall 2010, the 122 room/suite Holiday Inn Express hotel in Orem is easily reached from I-15 exit 269, by a short drive west along 1200 S, and it has a quiet location on the edge of the farmland bordering Utah Lake. There are a couple of restaurants close by and others on the far side of the interstate; also in the vicinity are Utah Valley University and University Mall. All the standard amenities of this brand are provided, including hot breakfast buffet, pool (indoor) & whirlpool, fitness center, convenience store, meeting space and free wi-fi.

Fairfield Inn Orem is built opposite another Marriott property (TownePlace Suites), right next to I-15 at the 800 N exit - in a busy, commercial/industrial neighborhood though just a few miles from peaceful, rural land at the edge of Utah Lake. There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, plus a supermarket and several other shops. The four floor hotel contains 90 rooms & suites, one meeting room, an indoor pool/hot tun, fitness & business centers and a dining area for the free buffet breakfast, which includes several hot items. The property opened early 2016.

Comfort Inn Orem has a west central location, between US 89 and I-15, one block south of Utah Valley State College. The interior corridor hotel is reached from exit 269 of the interstate (W University Parkway), by driving half a mile east then right along W 1430 S St. Downtown Orem is 2 miles to the northeast, and the waters of Utah Lake (good for fishing) are a short drive west. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, which has 77 good sized rooms, an indoor pool & hot tub, a fitness center, laundry and guest-use computer. Free continental breakfast is available.
