The full service Marriott Austin South receives favorable reviews for its accommodating staff, elegant decor, comfortable rooms and the good food served by the on-site restaurant/bar (Limestone Kitchen). Although relatively far (6 miles) from Austin Airport, a complimentary shuttle is provided, and the city center is an easy 5 mile drive away via I-35 which runs right past - access is from the Ben White Boulevard exit. The Marriott is part of a line of hotels on the east side of the interstate, on the edge of a business park but within walking distance of several other restaurants. The many facilities include an indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, concierge floor, room service, gift shop and nearly 10,000 sq ft of meeting space.

The AC Hotel has a countryside setting on a wooded ridge at the edge of the Hill Country, along Southwest Parkway, 9 miles west of downtown Austin. Locations within a few miles include Austin Zoo, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and Barton Creek Habitat Preserve. The full service, European-influenced property opened winter 2021, and its elevated location allows all guest rooms and suites to have beautiful views over the surroundings, as does the rooftop bar (Salt + Stone). Other facilities include a cafe, an outdoor pool, a fitness center and meeting space.

Courtyard Austin South is one of four adjacent Marriott hotels along the interstate 35 frontage road (between exits 230 and 230A) towards the southwest side of town - 4 miles from the center and 5 miles from Austin International Airport. The inn offers 110 east or west facing rooms & suites, on 4 floors, in a building set back a little from the main road and surrounded by plenty of free parking. Breakfast (not complimentary) is served at the hotel's Bistro restaurant, with other meals available from several restaurants a short distance to the north. The inn has a pool, hot tub and fitness center.

In the Oak Hill district of southwest Austin, the Residence Inn is a 108-room, all-suite Marriott hotel along the northern US 290 frontage road, in a wooded, residential area; at the edge of the Hill Country. Amenities include a fitness center and a resort-style outdoor pool with fire pit, shaded by ancient oak trees. Suites are available in one bedroom and studio configurations, and all have a full kitchen. Daily hot breakfast and evening receptions are complimentary, as is the grocery shopping service. The nearest restaurants and stores are one mile west along the freeway.

Along the eastern I-35 frontage road on the south side of the city, the Residence Inn by Marriott is the smallest of several hotels of this brand in Austin, with 66 suites, but still offers the usual combination of value, good facilities and excellent customer service. All accommodation includes a full kitchen (microwave, refrigerator/icemaker, stove, dishwasher), and separate areas for living, sleeping and working. A free shuttle is provided to Austin International Airport, 8 miles east; other complimentary amenities are hot breakfast, evening light dinner, internet access and a grocery shopping service. The outdoor pool, hot tub and sports court are at the front of the property, while inside are a fitness center, guest laundry and a meeting room.

Accessed from the Stassney Lane exit of I-35, Staybridge Suites Austin South is a spacious, modern, all-suite hotel, open summer 2016, built at the edge of a parking area serving two restaurants and a 14 screen cinema. The rear of the four floor building backs on to wooded valley containing a small stream, and guests are a short walk from the more extensive greenbelt land along Williamson Creek. This location is 6 miles south of downtown Austin, and 9 miles from the international airport. Daily hot breakfast is complimentary, and the other main amenities are the usual pool, meeting space, business center and fitness center. Also in the vicinity are several large stores including a supermarket.

The Homewood Suites adjoins Hwy 71 (south side) by the I-35 intersection, next to another Hilton hotel, the Hampton Inn, at the edge of the Southpark business district. This location is 7 miles from Austin International Airport, served by complimentary shuttle. Guests are accommodated in one or two bed suites, each with a kitchen including utensils and a full size refrigerator; food for cooking can be purchased from the on-site convenience store or from HEB supermarket, 2 miles north (grocery shopping service available), though free dinner & drinks are provided each evening (Mon-Thu), Daily hot breakfast is also complimentary; other amenities are a 24 hour fitness center, outdoor pool, bbq pits, business center and meeting space.

Rooms at Hampton Inn Austin face east or west, looking out over a busy commercial neighborhood of restaurants, businesses and other hotels around the Hwy 71 intersection of I-35 - 7 miles from the international airport (courtesy shuttle available) and 4 miles from the city center. All accommodations contain a microwave and refrigerator. The hotel has a pleasant outdoor pool and sundeck, on the south side, shielded from the main road, and interior facilities of a fitness center, business center and 430 sq ft meeting room. Free hot breakfast is served.

Hampton Inn Oak Hill is just about the most southwesterly hotel in the Austin area, and it enjoys a quiet, peaceful location, surrounded by woodland a short distance south of US 290, which reaches I-35 seven miles east and in the other direction enters the Texas Hill Country, en route to Johnson City and Fredericksburg. There is one fast food restaurant opposite and others within half a mile; hot breakfast is provided by the hotel. Accommodation comprises 106 rooms, all equipped with microwave & refrigerator. A business center, boardroom and two conference rooms are available for those here to work.

Open early 2025, the Home2 Suites is now the southernmost chain hotel in Austin; along the western I-35 frontage road near the Slaughter Lane exit (227), a tree-lined neighborhood, still close to shopping and dining, including Southpark Meadows, a little way south. The hotel caters for long stay guests in studio and one bedroom suites; all have a full kitchen and plenty of living space. Hot breakfast is complimentary, as is wi-fi. Guests can also take advantage of an outdoor pool and a fitness center.

New for spring 2020, TownePlace Suites Austin South is an extended stay Marriott property of 103 suites, available in studio, one bedroom and two bedroom layouts; all have a fully equipped kitchen. The hotel has a relatively quiet location at the edge of a large parking lot, backing onto a patch of trees, along the western I-35 frontage road five miles south of the city center. Several restaurants are within walking distance, and stores including Lowe's and Fiesta Mart. The principal amenities are free hot breakfast, an outdoor pool, a convenience store and meeting space.

One of a long line of hotels along the I-35 frontage road (east side), just south of the US 290 junction, SpringHill Suites Austin South is a large, modern building of 6 floors and 152 suites, each containing a small kitchen with microwave, refrigerator & sink. The surroundings are a mixture of offices and other businesses but with a fair selection of restaurants around the highway intersection. The international airport is 5 miles east and park/fly room packages are available that include free airport transportation and free long term parking. The main facilities at the hotel are free hot continental breakfast, a gift shop, indoor pool and whirlpool. Opening is scheduled for early summer 2022.

Along Legado Circle in Garza Ranch, southwest Austin, the Aloft is a modern, elegant property of 140 oversized, loft-style guest rooms, with views across a few neighboring buildings to the wooded surroundings; there are several preserves and nature areas within two miles. The international airport is 11 miles east, while in the vicinity are a selection of restaurants and shops, on the far side of Hwy 1 which runs past just to the west. The main amenities at the hotel are a restaurant/bar, a 24 hour convenience store, a patio at the front, and a garden area at the rear, with fire pit, infinity pool and poolside bar.

Aloft Austin South has a prominent location right beside the major intersection of Hwy 71 and I-35 (southwest side), 4 miles south of the city center and 6 miles west of the international airport. The neighborhood is a mix of business and industrial sites, but with a few restaurants close by, along Ben White Blvd. Open summer 2022, the hotel features spacious, loft-style accommodations with a good range of amenities including a restaurant/bar staging regular live music, a 24 hour pantry, an outdoor pool and a fitness center.

Ramada Austin South is one of a large group of hotels around the major I-35/US 290/TX 71 intersection, 3 miles south of downtown Austin and 5 miles from the international airport. The recently renovated property has 95 rooms (on four floors), all equipped with microwave, refrigerator and executive desk, and all featuring a terrace or balcony; those on the south side overlook the hotel's tree-lined outdoor pool and gardens. Also on-site are an American restaurant (open for breakfast, lunch & dinner), guest laundry, an exercise room, business center and meetings facilities catering for events of up to 200 people.

Open spring 2015, Holiday Inn Express Austin South enjoys a peaceful location along a side street adjoining a patch of woodland just off Stassney Lane, within a short walk of a 14 screen cinema, several restaurants, and shops including Lowe's. I-35 runs past one block east, leading to downtown Austin, 5 miles away. The international airport is 6 miles east. The hotel contains 86 rooms & studio suites, and all accommodations feature a microwave & refrigerator. Good quality free breakfast buffet is served each morning, including a selection of hot items. The hotel also has a fitness center, outdoor pool and meeting space.

Sunset Valley is a southwestern suburb of Austin, a few miles from the start of the Texas Hill Country; one of the closest natural attractions is Pedernales Falls State Park, 40 miles west. The Holiday Inn Express Sunset Valley is a fairly new 99 room/suite hotel along US 290/Hwy 71 (Brodie Lane exit), next to a quiet, residential district and backing onto a wooded hillside. Free continental breakfast is provided and there is a good selection of restaurants close by, both east and west, plus several large stores at Sunset Valley Marketfair just the far side of the freeway. Other amenities at the hotel include an outdoor pool, exercise room and a business center.

The upscale Aiden by Best Western is situated at the northwest corner of I-35 exit 232A (Oltorf Street), along the frontage road - in a busy, commercial district two miles south of Austin city center. Within a mile are Riverside Golf Course, St Edwards University, Lady Bird Lake and Stacy Park. The hotel has a restaurant, newsstand, fitness center and guest laundry; all rooms are equipped with a microwave & refrigerator, and half look inwards over a landscaped courtyard garden, setting for the outdoor pool, wading pool and hot tub. The adjacent conference center contains over 7,000 sq ft of meetings space. Free hot breakfast is provided.

The southernmost of Marriott's three Fairfield Inn hotels in Austin is located at 4525 I-35 - along the eastern frontage road, between the SpringHill Suites and Courtyard properties. Room rates are slightly cheaper than its neighbors but not at the expense of the cleanliness and comfort of the 45 rooms & 18 suites, all of which are large and well designed, looked after by friendly, efficient staff. The three main amenities are an indoor pool, an exercise room and free continental breakfast.

The Comfort Suites is among the southernmost hotels in Austin, located along the eastern I-35 frontage road half way between exits 229 and 230, in a relatively quiet area a short walk from the wooded corridor of Williamson Creek, which is followed by a greenbelt trail. The nearest restaurants are half a mile south along Stassney Lane. Complimentary amenities are the usual wi-fi and hot breakfast, while the hotel also has an outdoor pool, meeting space and business/fitness centers. All the oversized guest rooms feature a sofa bed, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator.

Quality Suites Austin South is part of a group of hotels facing I-35 just south of the 71 Freeway intersection, 5 miles from the city center. The clean-looking, blue-roofed building contains 50 spacious rooms, most equipped with microwave, refrigerator and sofa bed; some have a hot tub bath. The staff are particularly friendly, and can help with local restaurant choices - there are many dining places nearby. Free hot breakfast is provided at the hotel. Leisure facilities are the usual heated pool (indoor), hot tub and fitness center. The interior corridor property is set back a little way from the freeway, behind a gas station.

Although alongside Interstate 35 (on the eastern frontage road), the Econo Lodge is set back a little from the highway and so offers a quiet night's stay. Guest accommodations are on two floors of an exterior corridor building, and face north, looking across the parking lot. The hotel has an outdoor pool at the front, with interior amenities of a business center, coin-operated laundry, and a dining room where the free continental breakfast is served.

Super 8 Austin offers basic, exterior corridor accommodations, in three blocks, enclosed by the parking lot. Some rooms have views of the secluded outdoor pool at the center of the complex. A meeting room, a fitness center and free continental breakfast are the other amenities. The motel is positioned along the western I-35 frontage road, right next to the Hwy 71 intersection, 4 miles south of the city center and 6 miles west of the international airport.
