Best Western Mt. Hood Inn is the main hotel in the small mountain town of Government Camp, at 3,900 feet elevation, surrounded by thickly wooded, national forest land. A few miles north, Mount Hood rises over 7,000 feet higher, and the hotel is ideally placed for explorations of the scenic surroundings, near three winter ski resorts and many hiking trails. The hotel sits at the west edge of Government Camp along US 26, adjacent to one restaurant and within half a mile of other facilities in the town center; it features 57 good sized and well equipped rooms - all have a refrigerator, microwave, tea/coffee maker and DVD player, while some include a minibar, sofa bed and whirlpool bath.
