Red Rock State Park is centered on a tree-lined section of Oak Creek a few miles southwest of Sedona, and while small in size, has contrasting landscapes including grassy meadows, woodland, riparian areas alongside the stream, and arid hills to the south, which are crossed by several trails that have good views towards the city and the high red cliffs beyond.
