Lost Dutchman State Park is a popular place, enclosing a small area of scenic desert land at the foot of the Superstition Mountains near Apache Junction; it has a campground, picnic and day use facilities, and a few short trails, linking with longer routes into the adjacent Tonto National Forest. All the usual Sonoran Desert plants can be seen, including many specimens of the giant saguaro.
