One of two Holiday Inn hotels in Corpus Christi, this is at 5549 Leopard St - towards the northwest side of the city and just 5 miles from the international airport (served by complimentary shuttle). The 249 room, full service hotel is located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Leopard St with highway 358 (N Padre Island Dr), one exit south of the junction with I-37. Unusually for this hot location, the hotel's swimming pool is indoors, and the other main amenities are a cafe, 24 hour lounge and a fitness center refurbished in 2007. Business travelers are well catered for by the associated conference center, providing over 13,000 sq ft of meeting space, and 14 separate rooms catering for up to 900.

New for 2008, the Holiday inn Express hotel in Corpus Christi adjoins US 77 nearly opposite the Five Points Shopping Center and Robstown Hospital, right on the far west side of the city; downtown is 15 miles east along I-37. The elegant, 3 floor building contains 71 rooms & suites (the latter with kitchenette), a fitness center, gift shop, business center and dining area for the free buffet breakfast. There is a sheltered outdoor pool at the rear, away from the highway.

3. Best Western Garden Inn
The Garden Inn is some 12 miles west of the center of Corpus Christi, next to the main approach to the city from the west (I-37), and close to the districts of Catallen, Annaville and Orange Grove. The hotel is along the southern frontage road just west of Violet Rd, exit 11, and has 39 rooms on 2 floors, arranged in a square around a central courtyard with gardens, fountain, children's playground and outdoor pool.

One of four Best Western hotels in Corpus Christi, the Navigation Inn is a smallish property a few miles west of downtown, located close to I-37 - it is the 4th building south on Navigation Blvd (exit 3A), on the east side of the road. The hotel is close to 2 sea side parks; Cole Park to the south and McCaughan Park to the north, and is also within walking distance of Corpus Christi Coliseum and many other sites in the city center. At the center of downtown Corpus Christi's beachfront area, the Best Western Marina Grand Hotel enjoys far reaching views across the Gulf of Mexico from the private balconies of its 173 rooms on 11 floors, though is not directly on the beach, being separated from it by a small area of parkland. Candlewood Suites South Padre Island Drive is one of the newest Corpus Christi hotels, opened in September 2007. The hotel has a south central location at 5014 Crosstown Expressway (TX 286), just northeast of the intersection with TX 358, S Padre Island Dr. This is mostly a residential area but with shops and businesses along adjacent Ayers St. The hotel has 75 suites.

At 6301 S Padre Island Drive, Best Western Paradise Inn is along the main road through Corpus Christi towards North Padre Island; roughly half way (8 miles) between the island and the city center. Closer attractions within a mile include the Sunrise Mall, the Padre Staples Mall, Oso Beach Golf Course and Candlewood Park. The beautiful new Comfort Suites Corpus Christi opened spring 2008 at 7814 South Padre Island Dr - on the far east side of town just a short walk from the shores of Oso Bay and 8 miles from North Padre Island. Although near the end of the long line of shops, restaurants and hotels on the busy highway, the hotel is about 200 feet from the road and its 55 modern well equipped rooms offer a quiet night's sleep.
