The only full service hotel on North Padre Island is the 5-storey Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort Corpus Christi, at 15202 Windward Drive, on the beach facing the Gulf of Mexico and about 10 miles north of the entrance to the Padre Island National Seashore. The hotel has a quiet location with undeveloped coastline at either side, though is within 2 miles from a selection of shops and restaurants in North Padre Island. Amenities include an outdoor pool & whirlpool, fitness center, gift shop, bar/lounge, and the Jolly Pelican Restaurant.

Best Western on the Island is a small hotel with 40 rooms, all on one floor, at the west side of North Padre Island, alongside the main road (S Padre Island Drive, half a mile after the causeway bridge). The hotel has a quiet but somewhat isolated position overlooking Packery Channel Park and the inner waterways beyond. The main Padre Island beaches begin 2 miles to the east, and the center of Corpus Christi is 15 miles west. All 40 of the comfortable guest rooms have a refrigerator and microwave, and many enjoy views of the bay. Free continental breakfast, an outdoor pool, hot tub, free internet access and meeting/event space are the main amenities.

Recently opened (2006), the Comfort Suites hotel on North Padre Island has a peaceful and scenic location along Windward Drive, just across the road from the Gulf of Mexico - 300 feet from the beach. The 75 large and well equipped suites are spread across four floors, and the property also provides an outdoor pool, exercise room, business center, meeting space and guest laundry. Free full hot breakfast is served. The hotel is within walking distance of a small selection of restaurants, including in the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort just across the road.
