As expected for the historic Danish town of Solvang, the Holiday Inn Express hotel has a Scandinavian-style exterior, and a pleasant location, in a wooded neighborhood along the western approach to town (Route 246; Mission Drive) - the inn is on the north side of the road, bordering Hans Christian Anderson Park. The town center is a few blocks away, and most of the shops & restaurants are within easy walking distance. Rates are a little cheaper than many other places in Solvang, though the 82 rooms (on 3 floors) are still clean & comfortable, and equipped with all necessary amenities. The hotel has an outdoor pool/hot tub and serves basic free continental breakfast.
