Holiday Inn Express Lompoc is located near the north edge of town at 1417 North H St (Highway 1), close to farmland of the Santa Ynez River valley though also next to the local airport and at the center of most of the large stores in Lompoc, at the junction with Central Avenue. The hotel is close to the town center along Highway 1 (E Ocean Ave), within walking distance of a few restaurants and shops though most large stores are on the north edge of town near the airport. Although Lompoc is close to the coast, much of this is inaccessible, being part of Vandenberg Air Force Base; the other main site around town is the La Purisima Mission, 2.9 miles north of the hotel along road 246. The O'Cairns Inn has 83 rooms, in two 2-floor blocks surrounded by mature trees, with an outdoor heated pool near the front; its main amenities are free full breakfast, a fitness center, hot tub, guest laundry and gift shop.

The northernmost hotel in Lompoc, right at the edge of the countryside, is the Quality Inn & Suites - a large, 3 floor building with no fewer than 218 rooms offering generally clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation. The nearby area around the junction of Highway 1 and Central Ave has many services, with the airport on one side and various restaurants & superstores just down the road.
