Lost Hills is a tiny farming town 2 miles west of I-5 in the San Joaquin Valley, 50 miles from Bakersfield. The Motel 6 is part of a group of fast food restaurants and gas stations next to the interstate (exit 278; Hwy 46), surrounded in most directions by flat fields. The place has 2 floors and exterior corridors; it is generally clean and charges low rates, with facilities of guest laundry, an outdoor pool, wi-fi (for a small fee) and free coffee. The quietest rooms are those on the west side, facing away from a gas station next door
