The handsome new Best Western Galt Inn sits on a quiet street on the north side of town, one block west of Highway 99 and exactly half way (25 miles) between Stockton and Sacramento. The main attraction in town is the open air Galt Market, 1.4 miles south along Caroline St. The 44 rooms at the Best Western are clean, modern, and well equipped with microwave & refrigerator plus all the standard amenities, while the hotel also offers the expected free breakfast, pool (outdoor), hot tub and fitness room.

Recently open (2008), Comfort Inn & Suites Galt is part of a new shopping center along Twin Cities Rd right at the north edge of town, just off Highway 99. Besides the stores there are several restaurants adjacent, though free full breakfast is provided on the premises. This part of central California is famous for its vineyards, and over 50 of them are found within a 30 mile radius. There are 70 oversized rooms at the Comfort Inn, some containing a whirlpool bath and extra sofa bed; other facilities include a fitness center, indoor pool, hot tub, meeting room and guest laundry.
