The location is the corner of 3rd & J streets, immediately east of exit 519B of the interstate and 0.7 miles from the state capitol buildings. Most of the attractions of downtown Sacramento are within walking distance, as is the Amtrak station just the other side of I St. As expected for a full service, city center hotel, the Holiday Inn Sacramento has many amenities, principally a restaurant & lounge, outdoor pool, large fitness center, newsstand & gift shop, guest laundry, and 13 meeting rooms totaling over 13,000 sq ft of event space. | | |

The hotel is surrounded by several large stores and numerous restaurants, though dining is available on-site at the unusual Aces Restaurant, an aviation-themed establishment serving a variety of cuisine from around the world and featuring a 5 storey control tower plus a replica of a WW2 fighter plane.
