Silt Hotels

Silt is one of several small towns along I-70 in west Colorado that provide cheaper accommodation than places further east towards the center of the Rocky Mountains, while not being too far away to visit there on a day trip. The beautiful new Holiday Inn Express Silt opened 2008 right on the banks of the Colorado River, near exit 97 of the interstate - 7 miles east of the slightly larger town of Rifle, and 20 miles from Glenwood Springs. The hotel has 80 nicely decorated rooms & suites, a pool, hot tub & fitness center, guest laundry, business center and a small meeting room. Free continental breakfast is served each morning; for lunch or dinner there are a couple of restaurants on Main Street in Silt, just the other side of the interstate. The most popular natural attraction in the area is Rifle Falls State Park, 15 miles north.
