A panorama taken from the Toroweap Overlook in the Tuweep area of the Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona. This is a remote region, 65 miles from the nearest paved road. A long stretch of the Colorado River is visible from the overlook, inlcuding the Lava Falls rapids, where the river level drops by 13 feet. The canyon at this point is 2,700 feet deep, and the cliffs are nearly vertical.
