This part of the city is mostly residential though just to the south, on the far side of Rodeo Road, is the Santa Fe Place mall, and there are several large stores a short distance to the east. The hotel features 130 beautifully decorated rooms with luxurious bedding and upscale fixtures & fittings, and it has two restaurants on-site; the Southwestern-style Patinas, serving breakfast & lunch, and Mezcal Lounge, open for dinner & evening drinks. Also available are all the usual facilities for business, meetings and leisure.

Holiday Inn Express Santa Fe is one of many hotels along Cerrillos Road, the main route into town from Albuquerque and the southwest - about half way between I-25 and the downtown area. The center of old Santa Fe is an easy 5 mile drive away, the airport is 4 miles west and at least 8 restaurants are found within half a mile. The hotel has an indoor pool/hot tub, a fitness center and a business center. Wi-fi and full hot breakfast are complimentary. Some rooms (and suites) have one or more of a balcony, microwave, refrigerator, sofa bed, minibar and mountain views.
Located right next to the Santa Fe Place mall (main stores being JC Penney, Dillard's, Sears & Mervyn's), Fairfield Inn Santa Fe is another Southwest-style building along Cerrillos Road, about 6 miles from the town center but well served by the local bus network. Exit 278 of I-25 is 2.5 miles away. Also nearby are many restaurants, and other shops including Target. The inn provides mid range accommodation in 56 comfortable rooms, with the two main amenities of free continental breakfast and an indoor pool.
On the south side of the Turquoise Trail (Highway 14), the 3 floor Comfort Suites Santa Fe is a well regarded, all-suite hotel, receiving good reviews for its comfortable rooms, reasonable rates and helpful staff. The building is set back about 300 feet from the main road so ensuring a quiet night's sleep in all of the 60 suites and it has the traditional pinkish adobe design with Southwest decor in the rooms and public areas - which include an indoor pool, hot tub and a dining area where free full breakfast is served. Continental breakfast and wi-fi are complimentary; other facilities are guest laundry, a business center and meeting space.
All accommodations at Econo Lodge Santa Fe contain a refrigerator, while some (the suites) have a microwave and executive desk. The motel is quite small, with 48 rooms, in a two story, interior corridor building along Cerrillos Road; it has an outdoor pool/hot tub at the rear, while interior amenities are limited to a business center and a dining area for the free continental breakfast. The motel is close to many restaurants and large stores including Santa Fe Mall, half a mile south.
The Super 8 is a budget Santa Fe motel, located, like most other lodging in town, along Cerrillos Road, the main approach from the west. The surroundings have a mixture of houses, undeveloped plots, shops and restaurants, plus several large stores including Wal-Mart and Home Depot. This location is 4.6 miles from Santa Fe Plaza. The pet friendly, interior corridor Super 8 offers free wi-fi, free continental breakfast, a fitness center, business center and meeting facilities.
Motel 6 Santa Fe has an outdoor pool at the front and three linked accommodation blocks beyond, leading away from the highway (Cerrillos Road) and so providing a progressively quieter night's sleep. There are many restaurants within walking distance and a Wal-Mart store 0.4 miles southwest. In the other direction, the road reaches downtown Santa Fe in 4 miles. Like all properties of this brand, rates are low and amenities basic; free coffee, the pool, a microwave/refrigerator in some rooms, and wi-fi.
The southernmost Motel 6 in Santa Fe is part of the group of lodging places beside the main shopping area in town, centered on Santa Fe Mall (0.7 miles away). The motel is quite large, with 121 rooms in several exterior corridor blocks; those on the west side have views of the outdoor pool and the busy suburban neighborhood beyond.
