One of six Marriott properties in Palm Desert, the Residence Inn has a quiet location on the corner of Cook St and Frank Sinatra Dr, one mile from I-10 on the north side of town. The all-suite hotel offers 130 rooms, in several blocks, many with views over the adjacent Desert Willow Golf Resort and beyond to the distant Santa Rosa Mountains. The rooms, the public areas and the hotel grounds are all beautifully clean and well maintained, making this a very pleasant place to stay. Adjacent to the Residence Inn (at 74895 Frank Sinatra Drive), Courtyard Palm Desert is another well regarded hotel, renovated in 2007, that is noted for its friendly staff, clean rooms, scenic location and good facilities - there is a cafe open for breakfast, a fitness center, guest laundry, meeting rooms, and a courtyard garden featuring an outdoor pool, hot tub & plenty of sunbathing space. Next door is one restaurant (Applebee's) though most of the neighborhood to the south is residential; the nearest stores are one mile away along Cook Street. The land to the north, towards interstate 10, is mostly desert.

The Fairfield Inn of Palm Desert, CA, sits in the middle of the main shopping area in town, within walking distance of many large stores including those of the Westfield Shoppingtown Mall. The hotel is an older building but its 107 rooms are recently renovated, clean and spacious; the comfortable accommodation plus the amenities of free deluxe continental breakfast, an outdoor pool and a fitness center make the Fairfield Inn a good choice for relatively cheap lodging in the Palm Desert area.

At 74675 Highway 111, the Holiday Inn Express Palm Desert is on the east side of town, next to the Best Western Resort and close to numerous golf courses, country clubs and other attractions. Serving Indian Wells, Indio and -Rancho Mirage in addition to Palm Desert, the hotel is 2 miles from the town center and 5 miles south of I-10 (exit 134; Cook St). The hotel and its large outdoor swimming pool are surrounded by gardens, flower beds and palm trees, all easily appreciated from the private balconies or patios of all 129 rooms. The 150 room, 3 floor hotel features an outdoor pool/hot tub, tennis courts & fitness center, and it serves free full breakfast.

Comfort Suites Palm Desert is one of relatively few Coachella Valley hotels next to interstate 10 - most are along CA 111. The hotel is at the northwest corner of the intersection of I-10 (exit 137) with Washington St, next to the Mountain Vista Golf Club and 7 miles northeast of the center of Palm Desert. Also nearby are Indio, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Thousand Palms and over 100 golf courses. All the rooms contain microwave & refrigerator, and the hotel has an outdoor pool with gardens, newsstand & exercise room. Free full breakfast is served.
