The small city of Marana borders Tucson to the northwest, along I-10; the mostly residential center is 2 miles from the interstate close to the Santa Cruz River, surrounded by irrigated farmland, though hotels are found several miles away beside the freeway, at exits 246 (Cortaro Road) and 248 (Ina Road), and provide a generally quieter, more easily-reached alternative than those in Tucson to the south. Cortaro Road is the main location, also site of a supermarket and plenty of restaurants.
On the east corner of the Cracker Barrel Road - Hospitality Road intersection, Holiday Inn Express Hotel Marana is located 1 block southwest of interstate 10 (exit 246), and 12 miles from the center of Tucson. The Holiday Inn Express is a well regarded, three story, interior corridor property offering a pool, hot tub, fitness center, meeting room and free hot breakfast. The 83 rooms are very clean and well maintained.

The bright, comfortable rooms at Super 8 Marana either face north, looking across the parking lot to an adjacent hotel, or south, overlooking the main road and the busy commercial neighborhood beyond, which includes a selection of restaurants, gas stations and stores, largest being Wal-Mart just across the street. I-10 runs past one block east, leading to downtown Tucson, 15 miles south. The main facilities at the interior corridor inn are an outdoor pool, hot tub, free continental breakfast, free wi-fi, a business center and meeting space.
