The handsome, modern, 78 room/suite Holiday Inn Express is built along US 287 on open land at the west edge of the city beside Squaw Creek; many of the accommodations have fine views towards the Wind River Mountains which rise up a few miles further west. The main natural attraction in the vicinity (Sinks Canyon State Park) is just 6 miles away via Highway 131. The hotel provides comfortable and elegant accommodation, plus all necessary amenities: free hot breakfast buffet, pool/hot tub, bbq grills, laundry, fitness center & business center, and a refrigerator/microwave in each room.

Near the southeast edge of Lander, the pet friendly Travelodge has a quiet location along a side road just off US 287 - opposite a supermarket, one block from the Popo Agie River, and close to many restaurants along the main road. Rates are relatively low but accommodations are large and clean; there are 109 rooms in total, divided into several two story, pine-clad blocks with an outdoor pool at one side, and a fair amount of parking. Other amenities comprise an exercise room, hot tub, free internet access, copy/fax services and meeting space.
