Lake Point Hotels

Although advertised as being in Tooele, the Comfort Inn is located 11 miles north of town close to the I-80/Hwy 36 intersection in the Lake Point district, within walking distance of a travel center and several fast food restaurants. A 5 mile drive reaches Great Salt Lake State Marina, while downtown Salt Lake City is 18 miles further. The hotel was newly built in 2012, and features 73 microwave/refrigerator-equipped rooms, all with pillow top mattresses and luxury sheeting. Guests are treated to free hot breakfast, and have use of the usual amenities: pool, hot tub, fitness center, business center, and meeting space for up to 50 people.

Days Inn by Wyndham Lake Point, formerly Oquirrh Mountain Inn, adjoins the Flying J truck stop, along Hwy 36, less than a mile from the shore of the Great Salt Lake, with views of the wooded slopes of Farnsworth Peak to the southeast. Access is from exit 99 of Interstate 80. Amenities are free continental breakfast, free wi-fi, guest laundry, bbq grills and a business center. Guest rooms, on two floors of an exterior corridor building, are equipped with refrigerator/microwave.
