Open summer 2017, Holiday Inn Windsor is a newly constructed Sonoma County hotel by the junction of US 101 with Old Redwood Highway (exit 498), close to the center of Windsor and its varied selection of shops, restaurants and bars. A patch of woodland helps shield the building from the adjacent freeway. Santa Rosa is 9 miles south, Healdsburg 6 miles north, and more than 100 wineries are within a half hour's drive. At the center of Windsor and 10 miles north of Santa Rosa, the Holiday Inn Express Sonoma County is a good base from which to explore the vineyards of the nearby Alexander, Russian River and Napa Valleys, and the redwood groves in the coastal mountains.
