Fort Bragg Hotels

The newest hotel in Fort Bragg is the 54 room Holiday Inn Express, built on the corner of the intersection of highway 1 with CA 20 from Willits - overlooking the wooded canyon of Hare Creek and just 0.2 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Other nearby attractions (within 2 miles) are MacKerricher State Park, Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens and the California Western Railroad Skunk Train, while the center of town is a mile north and the Boatyard Shopping Center is just across the street. The hotel has an indoor pool, heath/fitness center and a dining room for the free hot breakfast.

The Best Western hotel in Fort Bragg has a beautiful location within sight of the Pacific Ocean, towards the north end of town along the main road (highway 1) and opposite the south end of MacKerricher State Park; the lodge overlooks a sandy beach and rocky coves where a small river (Pudding Creek) flows into the sea, and is linked to the shore by a pedestrian tunnel under the highway. The various buildings of the hotel are surrounded by 6 acres of landscaped gardens, and provide a range of accommodation including standard rooms, deluxe Oceanview rooms, fireplace suites and kitchen-equipped cottages. For dining there are various restaurants a short walk south along Main Street.

West-facing rooms at the pet friendly Baymont Fort Bragg have unobscured views over Main Street and across a strip of flat, undeveloped land to the Pacific Ocean, less than half a mile away. The affordable motel has rooms on one or two storys, arranged around the central parking area; all contain a microwave and refrigerator. Amenities are free wi-fi, free breakfast and a small business center. Mendocino Coast Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center is just across the street, and there are several restaurants within a few minute's walk.

Most guest rooms at the Oceanside Inn are all on the ground floor, entered from the central parking lots; there are two adjacent buildings, towards the north side of town, east side of Hwy 1. A small stream, Pudding Creek, flows into the sea close by, and the beach at the confluence is within easy walking distance. Amenities at the motel are limited to free coffee and one breakfast food item, plus free wi-fi. Pets are welcome.

On the south side of Fort Bragg, the Super 8 is a popular, affordable motel, receiving favorable guest comments for the clean, pet friendly rooms, the reasonable rates, the friendly staff and the good location - within walking distance of shopping and dining, and in a scenic setting. The Hwy 1 bridge over the Noyo River is just to the south, and a beach on the Pacific coast is 1,000 feet west; many of the guest rooms (all of which contain a microwave and refrigerator) have ocean views, through gaps in a patch of woodland.
