Hilton's Hampton Inn is the main hotel in Daly City, 8 miles southwest of San Francisco via I-280, and right next to a BART station for easy travel across the peninsula and to the international airport (also 8 miles away). The inn sits alongside the freeway on the western frontage road, part of a long line of shops and restaurants, and about 2 miles from the nearest beach (Thornton Beach State Park). Rooms are generally clean, large & well maintained, the staff have a good reputation, and rates are rather lower than for comparable properties nearer to San Francisco.
