After the half mile round trip diversion to Solitary Geyser
the Geyser Hill Loop continues west past Pendant Spring
, a peaceful pool of clear, light blue water, which has a narrow vent at the center of a wide, shallow basin. The run-off channel and parts of the edge of the pool have a coating of bright orange cyanobacteria, but the water temperature is too hot for this to grow extensively. The spring has erupted a few times, though not since 1987.
