New for 2009, Uvalde's Holiday Inn Express hotel enjoys a quiet, semi-rural setting along Main Street on the east edge of town, though there are several restaurants close by and a Wal-Mart 2 blocks away. The property is a typically modern, clean and well managed establishment of 82 rooms & suites, all featuring a microwave, refrigerator, work desk and flat screen TVs. Internet access is free, and so is breakfast, which includes several hot items. Other guest amenities are an outdoor pool, fitness center, hot tub, laundry, business center and a meeting room.

Once a Holiday Inn, the recently converted Quality Inn is the only full service hotel in Uvalde, offering 114 clean & spacious rooms, an outdoor pool & gardens, meeting/banquet facilities and an on-site restaurant, the Old Spanish Trail. Like most hotels in town it is found along Main St (US 90) east of the center - at the north side of the junction of US 90 with FM 1023, opposite Uvalde Memorial Hospital. There are half a dozen restaurants within 2 blocks. Uvalde is close to two Texas hill country state parks - Garner and Lost Maples.
