This panorama is taken along the northern shoreline of Big Bear Lake, near the USFS Meadows Edge picnic area, just off CA 38. The surrounding forested hills - part of the San Bernardino Mountains - rise quite gently in most directions; the highest peak in view is 9,952 foot Sugarloaf Mountain, to the southeast.
