Walnut Canyon National Monument > QTVR Panorama The Island Trail in Walnut Canyon National Monument passes over 20 ancient Sinagua cliff dwellings, including this well-preserved row, built in a long alcove in the Kaibab limestone that forms the top layers of the canyon walls. Vegetation in front of the ruins includes yucca and cacti, reflecting their sunny, south-facing aspect. In the other direction, the cooler north-facing slopes are covered by fir and pine trees. To navigate in a panorama, use the mouse to click and drag the picture left or right, or the keyboard arrow keys. Press the Shift key to zoom in or the Control key to zoom out. |
