Taken from one of the two official overlooks along the south edge of the gorge, this panorama shows the deep canyon of the Little Colorado River, close to Highway 64 between Cameron and the Grand Canyon. The land to the north - part of the Painted Desert - is almost completely flat, interrupted only by occasional low mesas. All this area is within the Navajo Indian Reservation.
