To the east, beyond the main summit, is the town of Prescott and the lower end of Chino Valley, with the Black Hills on the horizon and Granite Basin Lake in the foreground. Little Granite Mountain rises to the south, partially hiding the more distant Sugarloaf Mountain. The land falls away to the southwest, towards Skull Valley, while the northern aspect is dominated by the high granite ridge forming the north side of the mountain.
