The panorama is taken from the southeast corner of the main compound at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, showing the Hohokam Great House beneath its protective canopy, together with several lesser ruins. In the other direction (east) is a line of trees bordering the visitor center and various other NPS buildings. The hazy hills to the west are the Sacaton Mountains, eight miles distant.
