The panorama is taken from the southeast corner of the main compound at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument
, showing the Hohokam Great House beneath its protective canopy, together with several lesser ruins. In the other direction (east) is a line of trees bordering the visitor center and various other NPS buildings. The hazy hills to the west are the Sacaton Mountains, eight miles distant.
